Yes — this is our most requested service. We arrange access, do the check, and send you the report so nothing surprises you on arrival.
A property that sits empty for eight months of the year ages faster electrically than one that is lived in. Sea air corrodes connections inside junction boxes, damp lowers insulation resistance, and rodents chew through outdoor cabling. Arriving and simply switching everything on is how people find out the hard way.
What is included
- 12-point pre-arrival inspectionConsumer unit, RCD trip test, earth resistance measurement, every socket and switch tested individually.
- Damp and corrosion checkJunction boxes opened and inspected; corroded terminals replaced.
- Rodent damage inspectionOutdoor runs and loft spaces, especially on properties with gardens.
- End-of-season shutdownWhich circuits to isolate, what to leave live (fridge, alarm), and damp-prevention advice.
- Written photo reportSent to you by WhatsApp or email before you travel, so any problem is fixed before you arrive.
How we price it
Tell us what the problem is and we will give you a price range on the phone or on WhatsApp. Once we have seen it, we confirm a firm price before starting — and we do not proceed without your approval. If something unexpected turns up, we stop and ask you first.
Out-of-hours and emergency callouts carry a surcharge, which we always tell you about upfront.
